An item dated Amsterdam 29 January reported that the same afternoon at 13.30 o’clock at the shipyard de Zwarte Rave at the end of the Kleine Kattenburgerstraat was launched by shipbuilder J. Knol the newly built frigate ship Cornelis Houtman of circa 400 lasten for W.P. Pook van Baggen (1) captain D. Boes Leutjens for the Dutch East Indies trade.
