Italy improving her newest battleships caused by the Russo-Japanese war according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1904-1905 no. 8


An item referred to the foreign magazine Mitt. reporting that the armament of the engines the new Italian battleships Vittorio Emanuele, Regina Elena and Napoli were extensively altered as a result of the experiences in the war between Japan and Russia. (1) A second item referred to the foreign magazine Schiffbau dated 13 July 1904 reporting that the Napoli instead of the planned Yarrow-boilers now was to be fitted out with Babcock&Willcox boilers.
