French naval forces in the Far East according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1933 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht dated 17 June 1933 in which Henri Bernat the dislocations of the French overseas naval forces discusssed. The Forces navales d’Extrême Orient (the F.N.E.O.) were the far most important consisting of the cruiser Primauget, the new aviso Dumont d’Orville, 3 old 1.140 ton aviso’s and 2 aviso’s of around 600 ton. To this force was on short notice the new aviso Savorgnan de Braze to be added. On the Yang Tse Kiang were 5 gunboats stationed. The naval commanding officer of Indo Chine possessed over the submarines Joessel and Fulton, 3 small aviso’s and 2-1.140 ton aviso’s, 3 river gunboats and some vessels for the survey service. At Saigon was the building going on of 2-100 ton river gunboats for Indo Chine. Their armament consisted of 1-7,5cm guns, 2-3,7cm guns 1 mortar and 2 machineguns.
