Royal British Navy building new destroyers according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1905-1906 no. 7
An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht reporting that the Royal British Navy ordered the building of 12 turbine driven destroyers with a measurement of 220-230 tons. Of these 5-230 ton were to be built by Thornycroft at Chiswick to be named Grasshopper, Grenfly, Glowworm, Gnat and Gadfly, 2-230 ton by Yarlow at Poplar to be named Moth and Mayfly and 5-220 ton by White at Cowes to be named Dragonfly, Firefly, Cricket, Sandfly and Spider.
