Anti torpedo defence for battleships according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1912-1913 no. 7
An item supplied details about the protection of battleships in the navies of the major powers against torpedo attacks. All ships were or would be fitted out with torpedo nets. The anti torpedo batteries consisted of 15,2cm guns in the Royal British Navy, Imperial Japanese Navy and Royal Italian Navy (since the latest battleships Duilio and Andrea Doria although older ships had 12cm guns), 15,0 cm in the Imperial German Navy, 13,86cm in the French navy, 12,7cm guns in the US navy and 12cm guns for the Imperial Russian Navy.
