All efforts done in preparing departure of Batavian-French flotilla according to the Dutch newspaper Bataafsche Leeuwarder Courant dated 11 April 1805

An item dated Flushing the 3rd reported that all efforts to fit out the flotilla with lacking stores and parts continued in the arsenal and on the shipyard. All warships left Flushing despite the British trying to stop them. Off the around 400 vessels were just a few captured. Due to the continuous working were also casualties unavoidable. On Friday 29 March fell a sailor from the fore topmast of a large down on the deck and died. A similar accident happened some time ago on board of the schooner commanded by captain lieutenant Noy just for her departure.
