British steamship Shihuon attacked by Chinese pirates according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag dated 25 November 1911

An item reported that the British steamship Shihuon was attacked by pirates on the West river near Canton. Her captain killed two pirates but his mate Nicholson was also killed. The pirates plundered the ship while mutilating two Chinese passengers. From another steamship were 40.000 Lst. stolen. Two British destroyers were now patrolling on the river searching for the pirates.
