Dutch steam tanker Charlois needed repairs according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 2 January 1911

An item dated Zea 29 December 1910 reported that the Dutch steam tanker Charlois needed to depart towards Piraeus for at least temporarily repairs.(1) The edition dated the 6th published an item dated Piraeus the 4th reporting that she arrived there on 30 December 1910 with a heavily damaged bottom. Probably was she here temporarily repaired. The edition dated the 24th published an item dated Antwerp that she had undergone the most needed repairs and continue her voyage within some days.

1. The edition dated 29 October 1913 published an item dated Lizard the 27th that the Charlois of Rotterdam passed eastwards signalling that she suffered the whole voyage from worse weather damaging her deck. She was underway from Sabine Pass to Amsterdam.
