Dutch tug Holland 1940-

Built as the French tug Port de Beyrouth at the shipyard Béliard Chrighton&Cie., SA, Oostende with yard no. 80. Tonnage 176 tons and as dimensions 28,40-30,26 x 8,17 x 3,61 (3,08) metres. Fitted out with 2 triple expansion engines supplying 2 x450 ihp. Homeport Beyrouth. In June 1940 sunk at Dunkirk, salvaged, repaired and commissioned in the German II Minensuch flotilla. She served under the name Lavenburg in 1942 at Gotenhafen. In 1945 was she under the name Calaisien in service of the Societé de Navégation à Vapeur Daher, Marseille. In 1954 became she property of the Cambre de Commerce de Calais at Calais. In 1961 was she bought by the Sleepdienst Willem Muller BV of Terneuzen, Netherlands. At the Dutch shipyard NV Terneuzensche Scheepsbouw Maatschappij, Terneuzen was she thoroughly rebuilt and fitted out with 2x8 cylinder Deutz diesel engines syppling totally 1.400 ihp. As the Holland was she commissioned in spring 1962. In 1975 followed a second rebuilding and in 1987 were 2x800 rhhp 8 cylinder diesel engines placed. In December 1989 was she taken in bare broad-charter by Wijsmuller Offshore Contractors.
