French minister Docret visited Zierikzee according to the Dutch newspaper Bataafsche Leeeuwarder courant dated 28 January 1804

An item dated Zierikzee the 8th (?) reported that the French minister of navy admiral Docret (1) arrived in the evening of the 11th and visited the navy yard and inspected the complete flotilla and the troops already embarked. After a stay of just 36 hours he departed accompanied by general Savary (2). In Flushing was a large number of warships and transports gathered and it was expected that the Batavian flotilla would depart on short notice.
