French minister of war visiting Flushing, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsche Courant dated 29 October 1803

An item dated Flushing the 24th reported the arrival on Friday afternoon of the French minister of war Berthier (1) departing the next day at 06.00 o’clock. He visited in the presence of the Chiefs for Construction and Equipment the navy yard (2)and was very pleased with the activities of the Batavian navy.
