French submarine Curie destroyed according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated 23 December 1914

An item dated Vienna the 23rd reported that the French submarine Curie (1)was destroyed in the Adriatic Sea by coast batteries, floating batteries and coast guard vessels even before she could attack. Her crew was taken prisoner. She was described as just a few years old, measuring more as 400 tons and with a crew numbering 27 men.
