German steam tanker Pennoil entering St. Michales with storm damage according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 6 January 1906

An item reported that the German steam tanker Pennoil underway from Philadelphia towards Rotterdam was forced to enter St. Michaels. During the extreme weather conditions underway lost she her funnel and life boats and were the bridge, bulwarks and deck heavily damaged.
