Norwegian steamship Stolt Nielsen torpedoed according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 23 March 1918

An item dated Stavanger the 16th reported that on the 11th the Norwegian steamship Stolt Nielsen was torpedoed and sunk although yet not known where. Some time ago was she purchased by the British government. Gross tonnage 5.600 ton. Property of the shipping company B. Solt Nielsen of Haugesund was built during the war on an American shipyard.
