Swedish Ingeborg threatened by German submarine according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 17 January 1917

An item dated Stockholm dated the 14th reported thet arrival of the Swedish steamship Ingeborg at Göteborg coming van England. She was underway on the North Sea stopped by a German submarine which forced her to throw overboard the 700 bags with mail she had with her destined for the Allies. If she had refused to do she would be taken into a German harbour.
