An item reported that the Dutch steam trawler Christine of IJmuiden towed the British steam tanker Harry Wadsworth which had a shaft after a voyage of 3 days safely into the port. The British tanker left on 27 March Port Arthur towards Christiana loaded with 2.900 tons petroleum when off the Hornseveen (55°31’ North Latitude and 6°4’east Longitude the shaft broke. After signalling SOS’s tried a Swedish steamship to help her. The latter however had such a high deck load that she was not able to fasten the towing line. A Norwegian steamship was not strong enough to tow the tanker. The Dutch Christine managed to tow her safely into Steilene. After she was repaired, departed the tanker towards England. The Central Bank of Norway guaranteed the demanded salvage money of 200.000 crones. The cargo was estimated to be worth 1 million crones.
