British Indies steamship Umeta destroyed according to the Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder courant 7 December 1915

An item dated London the 6th reported that the British Indies steamship Umeta was sunk by the enemy. Of her crew were 49 men safely landed, however were still 5 officers and 47 Lascars missing. A second item reported the arrival of some survivors at Malta. Another newspaper De Tijd of the same date confirmed the news.
