American ship broker negotiating between Russia, Argentina, Chile and Turkey according to the Dutch newspaper Soerabaijasch Handelsblad dated 6 December 1904

An item reported that the well known American broker in warships Flint left Moscow with as destination Constantinople. It was believed that his intention was to sign there an agreement to hoist the Turkish flag on board of Argentinean and Chilean warships which Russian seemed willing to buy.(1)
