Important Chilean invention of naval device according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van Friesland dated 14 June 1933

An item reported that a Chilean submarine officer invented a device which made it possible to record even on a large depth the approaches of enemy ships. The device showed the distance between the enemy and the submarine and the tonnage and the speed of the enemy ship. The Chilean department of navy decided to fit out her submarines with this new device.
