Dutch steam tanker Silver Shell sold to Norway according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 10 January 1930
An item reported that the Dutch steam tanker Silver Shell was sold by the Petroleum maatschappij La Corona at The Hague, Netherlands to Victor Jenssen Rederi A/S at Oslo, Norway. She was underway from Yokohama, Japan towards Saitozaki, Japan and would after her return to Europe be renamed Soli. . Built in 1915 at the shipyard of Harlan&Hollingsworth, Wilmington, Delaware, USA with a tonnage of 5.834 gross and 3.474 net tons. Dimensions 411’7” x 53’5” x 31’1”. International sign PSCT and call sign PHMI. Cargo holds capacity 388.000 cubic feet. Loading capacity 8.396 tons of 1.000 kg.
