An item referred to a official statement done at Calcutta reporting that the British Indies government seized that same day 30 German merchant ships with their cargoes lying in the harbours Calcutta, Rangoon, Bombaym Karachi, Aden, Colombo and Marmagoa.
Calcutta: Perla, Tresteburg, Frankelfels, Frinefels, Rotenfels, Pagenturm, Kurzark, Rajauntel and Friesberg.
Rangoon: Alesia.
Bombay: Rheinfels and Wartum.
Karachi: Braunfels.
Aden: Wartenfels, Lindenfels, Warrion, Prinz Ferdinand and Varzin.
Colombo: Trifels, Steinfels, Reichenfels, Molkefels, Firth and Rapenfels.
Marmagoa: Lichtenfels, Marienfels, Numantia, Commodore Brisbane and Vorwaerts. The ships brought by the British into harbours as Singapore, Hong Kong were not included in above mentioned number. Totally seized the British around 50 German merchant ships in the East.
