Number of ships of the Japanese merchant navy laid up according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 26 October 1936

An item dated Tokyo 24 October reported that the Japanese association of shipping owners announced that world wide the laid up tonnage of ships was decreased with 280,000 tons compared with the situation on last 14 September. The Japanese laid up tonnage was with 17,000 tons the smallest of the world, namely just 0,7%.
