The Egyptian warships built at Marseille, France according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 23 December 1825

Paris, 19 December. At Marseille were the shipyards which were building warships for the Pasha of Egypt apparently ordered by the government to stop all activities while only 2-60 gun frigates and 1-24 gun corvette were allowed and not a complete squadron. Since then its be believed that the builders would be allowed to complete the warships destined to be sold abroad and send towards Alexandria.
