Cadiz, 26 August. According to private correspondence published in the Journal des Débats departed 24 August towards Ferrol the Spanish corvettes Diana and la Descuberra with 1.900 rifles destined for the expedition towards Havana, Cuba. The ships arrived a day earlier coming from Gibraltar where the arms were loaded, which were bought by the Spanish consul on account of the government.
