A battle between Colombian and Spanish warships according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 1 July 1823

London, United Kingdom, 27 June. American newspapers dated until 28 May arrived 25 June at London confirming the battle of some hours between Colombian ships and a Spanish squadron. Commodore Daniels was heavily wounded taken prisoner and his ship captured. It was a complete victory for the Spanish.
