Livorno, 4 July. A ship which arrived at this port coming from Smyrna was in
the Archipelago hold and plundered by two Greek mistieks. Afterwards she met a
French warship with the news of the fall of the Acropolis.
From Malta departed a British squadron of 8 ships towards Alexandria probably to join the there all ready waiting French fleet and to prevent the departure of the Turkish-Egyptian fleet.
