The usual extra ordinary correspondence from Paris dated 18 August announced that the decision of the French government to strengthen her squadron off the Mexican coast considerable was due to complaints of the British government that the French naval there was to small for an effective blockade. The blockade was during to long in this manner and so also harming British trade interests.
