The Greek and Turkish navies according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 27 September 1824

Frankfurt, 22 September. According to an extract of the newspaper le Smyréën dated 7 August was the Turkish fleet of 18 ships including the one with the grand admiral on board still crossing between Mitylene, Ipsara, Scio and Folleri.

Augsburg, 20 September. The Allgemeine Zeitung reported an item dated 26 August that the Captain Pasha which was blockaded by the Greek fleet at Mitylene departed towards Samos. The Greek fleet followed him while capturing underway 20 transports with 2.000 men on board
