According
to the edition dated 13 March 1858 departed recently the Turkish upper officer
Mohammed-pasha to the United States to supervise the building there of two
steam warships for the Turkish navy. The Dutch naval engineer C. Scheffer was
asked by the Egyptian vice roi to accompany Mohammed pasha and with agreement
of the Dutch government to report afterwards dealing with this project.
