New Dutch towage service in Groningen successful ship according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 9 May 1852
An item dated Groningen, Netherlands the 6th, earlier published in the Provinciale Groninger Courant, reported that the new steam towing service seemed to be a succes. A day earlier entered the kof Harmanna Hendrika master J.H. Pluktje the harbour coming from Bordeaux, France with a cargo of wine. Since 1817 was this the first time that a ship from that destination with wine arrived in Groningen. She was towed inside by the steam tug Hunze. This tug assisted already several masters and departed that same afternoon at 13.00 o’clock even towing two ships via the Reitdiep towards sea.
