New steam pump tested on board of Dutch tug Johanna according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 14 February 1911

An item reported that on the Saturday before the new steam pump delivered by J.C.H. van Duyl successfully was tested on board of the tug Johanna belonging to the Stoomsleepdienst Volharding. The pump already started pumping on a depth of 24 feet even with a very small quantity of water to a maximum of 200 tons a hour. The towing service also fitted her tugs out with four suction injectors to be able to assist immediately when a ship started sinking.
