German paddle steam tug Mannheim no. 2 departed Rotterdam, Netherlands towards Mannheim, Germany according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche courant dated 24 February 1848

An item dated Rotterdam, Netherlands the 22nd reported the departure of the steam barge de Koophandel master A. van Bunningen towards Mannheim, Germany towed by the tug Mannheim No. 2.(1)

Paddle steam tug built in 1843 at the shipyard of Penn&Son, Greenwich, United Kingdom with as dimensions 57,55 x 13,15 (over sidewheels) x 1,45 metres. Horsepower 600 ihp. In 1881 modernized and finally broken up after decommissioning in 1900.
