American whaler Sappho in August off the Chilean Mocha Island according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 20 December 1864

An item referred to a letter written by captain Coffin on board of the bark Sappho of New Bedford on 28 August at the Island of Mocha (1) with a catch of 600 barrels sperm oil.
