American whalers at Honolulu, Hawaii returned from the Arctic and Ochotsk according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 22 December 1863

An item referred to a letter from Messrs. McRuer&Merill written on the 21st at San Francisco reported which whalers arrived before November at Honolulu, Hawaii. The Navy captain Sarvent agents James B. Wood&Co. of New Bedford returned from the Arctic with a catch that season of 1.200 barrels whale oil. The Europa captain Crosby of Edgartown returned from the Ochotsk with a catch that season of 1.200 barrels whale oil. The Cleero of 252 ton captain Silvers or Stivers agent Loum Snow returned from the Ochotsk with a catch that season of 360 barrels whale oil. The Euphrates of 365 ton captain Hathaway agent Edward W. Howland of Edgartown returned from the Arctic with a catch that season of 800 barrels whale oil. The Fabius captain Wood from Edgartown returned from the Arctic with a catch that season of 700 barrels whale oil. The Jireh Swift of 454 ton captain Williams agents Swift&Allen of Edgartown returned from the Ochotsk with a catch that season of 400 barrels whale oil and lost in a collision with the Mt. Wallaston captain Willis agent Wood&Nye of Edgartown. The Governor Troupe captain Ashley agent Edward C. Jones of New Bedford was still not arrived.
