Dutch bark Poel collided with Swedish bark Wilhelm Gijnther according to the Dutch newspaper Goessche Courant dated 7 November 1882

An item dated Vlissingen the 6th reported that the Dutch bark ship Poel captain Abrahamsen property of De Groof collided in the Baltic Sea off Bornholm with the Swedish bark ship Wilhelm Gijnther causing considerable damage. She managed despite her holds were filled with water to arrive safely at Karlshamn, Sweden. No one of the crew was hurt. She had been underway with a cargo of timber from Riga, Latvia towards Middelburg, Netherlands.
