Norwegian bark Neptunus wrecked on Dutch island Texel according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 20 December 1863

An announcement reported the auction on Tuesday the 22nd at 11.00 o‘clock at Cockdorp, Eijerland, Texel of the inventory and hull of the Norwegian bark ship Neptunus captain Samsing. She was underway from Bordeaux, France towards Tonsberg, Norway when she was stranded on the 4th the beach behind Eijerland on the island Texel. The edition dated 1 January 1864 reported that rigging and hull were sold for more as 1.700 Dutch guilders.
