Dutch bark Marnix arrived at Den Helder, Netherlands coming from the Dutch West Indies with former Chinese labourers according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 14 August 1864

An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 13th reported the arrival on the Thursday before of the Dutch bark ship Marnix captain L.P. Wassenaar with on board forty Chinese labourers in the past hired by the Dutch cabinet to work on the sugar plantations in the Dutch West Indies. Their contract was now served and they were travelling back to China.
