Dutch frigate Helena Anna disappeared according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Courant van Den Helder dated 14 January 1865

An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 13th reported that nothing was heard of the Dutch frigate ship Helena Anna since she left the 3rd England with a pilot on board towards Den Helder. Rumours that she was stranded off Terschelling could not be confirmed. It was possible that the storm caused her to sail to the north and that the south and west winds were troubling her coming back.(1)

Note
1. The Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 9 February 1865 reported that her captain Lupcke jr. stated that the coastal light of Eijerland saved his ship and the crew.
