Dutch frigate Jacob Cats returned to Rotterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Zierikzeesche Courant dated 14 January 1840

An item dated Brouwershaven, Netherlands the 13th reported that the Dutch frigate ship Jacob Cats captain W.B. Derks was not able to reach open sea and forced to stay during the winter lying on the inner roads due to the frost. The edition dated the 31st reported that she departed on the 30th towards Rotterdam, Netherlands.
