Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Castor and het voyage towards the Mediterranean according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 21 April 1836

An item dated Vlissingen, Netherlands 20th supplied more details about the last voyage of the Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Castor captain lieutenant Ampt.(1) She left on 3 February Texel and with a strong but favourite wind reached she within 3 days the Atlantic Ocean passing the Strait of Gibraltar on the 20th arriving on the27th at Marseille, France. On 8 March came the consul and departed she towards Gibraltar arriving there the 18th. Contrary winds prevented her departure until the 29th and finally she arrived on 13th April back at Texel, Netherlands.
