An item dated Dordrecht, Netherlands the 18th referred to a tiding dated the 15th received from Lillo reported that the Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Medusa (1) lying for the fortress there was replaced by the Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Proserpina (2) fitted out with bomb boilers. The Medusa was to be fitted out similar on short notice.(3)

In the final report dealing with the investigation of the Budget for 1861 was reported that in 1836 with special decision of the crown the condemned bomb corvette Proserpina was sold for ƒ 25.500 to the board of the whaling company.
3. On 25 August 1830 started a revolt in what afterwards become the independent kingdom of Belgium but at that moment since 1815 still part of the kingdom of the Netherlands. On 4 October 1830 declared the Belgians their independence, on 21 July 1831 was their first king installed. Not earlier as in 1839 accepted the Netherlands the consequences (Treaty of London).
