An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 26th reported that the Dutch screw steam ship 1st class Zr.Ms. Willem departed that afternoon towards the Dutch East Indies.(1)

With a displacement fo 2.030 tons and as dimensions 58-62,84 x 12,25 x 5,5 metres. The horsepower of 700 hp allowed a speed of 8,5 miles. Armed with 8 long 30 pd guns and 8 rifled 16cm guns. Her crew numbered 225 men. Building costs ƒ 787.535, 61½.
