An item reported the departure from Willemstad, Curacao on Sunday the 25th of the Venezuelan steam warship Maparari towards Coro. On board was general M.E. Bruzual minister of war and navy of the Republic Venezuela.(1)

1. Manuel Ezequiel Bruzual (1832 Santa Marta, Colombia-15 August 1868 Curacao), a Liberal politician, 1864 minister of navy and army and in 1868 designated provisional president and finally died due this wounds he suffered in a battle on 14 August where he was defeated.
