Dutch schooner Zr.Ms. Schorpioen departed Willemstad, Curacao towards St. Thomas according to the Dutch newspaper De Curacaosche courant dated 28 March 1857

An item reported the departure on last Sunday (22nd) of the Dutch schooner Zr.Ms. Schorpioen lieutenant 1st class C.J. Damme with on board mr. A.M. de Rouville with 3 children and a nanny.(1) From St. Thomas he would travel with a British steam packet back to the Netherlands.(2)

1. On stocks at the navy yard at Vlissingen,  Netherlands on 9 May 1845, launched on 1 February 1847, decommissioned in Surinam 1 December 1864, described as condemned 1865, sold Wednesday for ƒ 2.100 to J. de Leeuw Caupain 17th May 1865, dimensions 27,00 x 8,30 x 3,20 metres, 198 tons displacement and an armament of 3 guns.
2. The island Sankt Thomas is part of the of the United States Virgin islands.
