French cruiser Sané visited Willemstad, Curacao according to the Dutch newspaper De Curacaosche courant dated 24 December 1875

An item reported the departure from Willemstad, Curacao on Tuesday the 21st the French steam warship Sané commanded by Brasselotte towards Colon, Panama.(1)

1. Wood-built barque rigged cruiser. Laid down at Toulon in 1867, launched in 1869, completed in 1872 and finally stricken in 1892. Of the Sané-class. General specifications of this class: displacement of 2.017 tons and as dimensions 79,38 (waterline) x 11,00 x5,95-5,87 metres or 260’5” x 36’1” x 18’4”-19’3’, a crew numbering 203 men, a speed of 14,5-15 knots and an armament of 6-5.5”guns, in a letter stadium were 6-8 1pd revolvers added.
