Laid down at Lorient, France in January 1889, launched in October 1891, completed 1896 and finally broken up in 1922. The armament consisted of 3-13.4” (1x1 pivot turret aft, 2x1 pivot turret fore), 10-6.4” quick firing guns (6 in main deck battery amidships with the remaining 4x1 in turrets above the battery) and further more 4-9pd guns, 14-3pd guns, 8-1pd guns, 6-1pd revolvers and 4-18” torpedo tubes. The revolvers and torpedo tubes were in a later stadium removed. Her crew numbered 673 men.
