American whaler Mars in April lying at Talenhuano, Chile according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 14 June 1864

An item referred to a letter dated 25th April written by captain Barker on board of the bark Mars of New Bedford lying at Talenhuano, Chile reporting that 2.831 gallons sperm oil were loaded in the ship China bound for New Bedford. The Mars was again fitted out for a new season. Agents Gifford&Cummings. Departed on 2 October 1860 for the Pacific.
