Dutch East Indiaman Beukestijn bound for the Dutch East Indies in 1742

She left on 3 May 1742 Texel, Netherlands with as captain Jan de Boer, visited Cape of Good Hope, South Africa between 23 August-9 September and arrived at Batavia, Dutch East Indies on 12 December. Her crew numbered 132 (arrival)-15 (departure) sailors and further more 72 (arrival)-88 (departure) soldiers. Built in 1734 at Amsterdam, Netherlands. Of the chamber Amsterdam and sailed for account of this chamber. Tonnage 850 metric tons or 350 last and as dimensions 145’ (prow) x 38’ x 15½’.
