American whaler Almira lying on 6 April at the Swan River according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 5 July 1859

A letter written on board of the Almira captain Smith of Edgartown on 6th April at Swan River reported a catch of 300 barrels whale oil. During her stay at Desolation she only managed one whale out of 14.(1)
