American whaler Colombus again to be fitted out as whaler according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 19 July 1859

An item reported that the bark Columbus who had been property of the late W.R. Rodman was bought by John P. Knowler of New Bedford, USA and her captain was to be Edwin A. Luce of Edgartown, earlier master of the bark Superior of New Bedford.(1)
